Chapter Fifteen - Chaos

Chapter Fifteen
Chaos
20 July 1944
Berlin, Vienna

In this chapter, Claus and the Geheimes Deutschland enact Operation Valkyrie, and Claus sets off a pencil-timed bomb at Wolf's Headquarters on the Eastern Front. In Vienna, the girls are in lockdown at the Metropole, while Rudi and Oskar are likewise at the Maria Theresa Barracks, slated to be sent to the 6th Army Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front. We meet members of the Wehrmacht who are in fact part of the Geheimes Deutschland, and Hilda mulls over her parents' experience while waiting to be processed. Dr. Ebner reveals his hand to Rudi. Meanwhile, Wolf is injured and very badly shaken and begins a downward spiral, trusting no one, Claus and four others are assasinated at the Bendlerblock in Berlin, and Dietrich is found to have connections with the Geheimes Deutschland.
