Chapter Thirty-Nine Kaiserhymne Villa Austria, Pöcking 3 July 2011   In this chapter, Bekka and Karl travel to Pöcking to bid farewell to Otto, who has come to the end of his long and eventful life. Like his father, he goes home with joy to his fathers, and tells Bekka that he will wait for her. The mainstay and guide of her long life, she and Karl share his story with the family. Chapter Thirty-Seven Lilies of the Valley Christlessee May Day 1996   In this chapter, the family and village of Oberstdorf bid farewell to Karl Friedrich and Anna, who have lived to a great old age.   Chapter Thirty-Six ‘I Will Keep You Wherever You Go’ St. Stephen’s Cathedral Vienna, Berlin 1 April 1989   In this chapter, the family gather in Vienna to bid farwell to Empress Zita, with all the ceremony of old. Alois and Aunt Sophie attend, and meet Karl and Vina's children. When Bekka arrives home, she has a telephone call from András that they need help with Hilda, who is in her last days with cancer.
